Some call them flatbread. Some call them wraps. Doesn’t matter how you call it, you can make single serving or multiple servings to feed up to 20 people. The first time I served these wraps was during coffee hour at church after service. You would not believe how much kids loved them.
Since publishing this recipe, I started to make this a lot for my afternoon snack. Because of my family tight schedule, we tend to have dinner very late. This little snack is a great way to hold me over. So, I highly recommend you to do it with your children. Whenever there is a game which leads to a late night dinner, this snack will hold them over.
Here I will show you how to make single serving with your toaster for a quick on-the-go breakfast before heading out the door in the morning which is the method I use the most for single or double servings. You can also make it as a after school snack just like I do.
I will also show you how to make multiple servings to feed a big crowd. And it only takes you less than 15 minutes to put them together. Yes, that short period of time to feed 20 people. Amazing, huh?
This recipe is very versatile. You can use any kind of deli meat. If you just want the cheese, please feel free to do so.
Since Jul 2019, after this recipe publication, there are a lot of varieties of flour tortilla (aka taco sliders) out there. Not only there are plenty of sizes, but also there are tons of flavors, such as whole wheat, spinach, tomato, low-carb and many more. I won't be surprised that there will be more in the near future.
As you know that I stick to low-carb diet, I always use the low-carb tortillas.
I am sure kids would be happy to stick with turkey and cheese just like this recipe show. But as time goes by, I find that I tend to stuff more cold cut into my tortilla breakfast wrap. If that's your case as well and you want to have melty gooey cheese inside, I highly recommend to put your cheese inside the wrap and let the toaster heat to melt it. Once it's done, you can open up the wrap and stuff the meat in. This will prevent a lot of messy cheese inside your toaster. Cleaning that up could be quite a challenge.
However, if you are making multiple servings to feed an army, stuff everything in. I will show you below.
Ingredients
1 pack 4" Flour Taco Sliders (20 slices)
1 pack of Pre-sliced Cheese/10 slices (any kind of cheese of your preference; fold them into halves to make 20 half slices.)
1 pack Pre-sliced Deli Meat/20 Slices (I use turkey here. As mentioned earlier, you can use any deli meat of your preference. Although the original recipe was created to be kid-friendly, I love to make this so much that I add some spicy cold cut or chili sauce. So, be open minded the creativity that you can put into this tortilla breakfast wrap recipe.)
