Sonic Chili Cheese Tots.....every Sunday during school year, we must take our son to Chinese school. My American husband insists that is the best way to keep our little one to be aware of his heritage.
Total Time: 32-33 Minutes
Prep Time: 2-3 Minutes

Well, for a school age kid, he thinks going to Chinese school on Sundays is annoying, boring and disgusting. You name it. He used it all to describe how "terrible" this school life is to him.
In order to encourage him to pay attention at Chinese school, I try to think of a place to go to after school on a weekly basis. Since school time takes up almost half of our day already, I always prefer a quick stop that we can get in and out in 10 minutes. This will allow us to eat in the car and get back home early enough to relax.
It could be a coffee shop, fast food shop, cafe, ice-cream stand and many more. It is just a little motivation to give him that little push.
I also take this advantage to try out different things and not to add more unnecessary calories on top of my diet. (Well, it may not work out all the time. But I try.)
So, this recipe was inspired by one of these little trips after Sunday Chinese school.
As you know deep-fried food is very common when it comes to fast food shops and restaurants. Instead, I will use the oven and go by the longest recommended cooking time to get the crispness.
With the quantity of this Sonic Chili Cheese Tots recipe, you can easily serve this for breakfast or dinner. It is very filling. Then, wash it down with either Denny's Mango Smoothie or Pineapple Cucumber Smoothie.
