Keto Garlic Parmesan Butter Baked Salmon
Diet Or Not
A Great Seafood Dinner
This Keto Garlic Parmesan Butter Baked Salmon was inspired by our fish night on Tuesdays. Well, should I say “Salmon night”?
Prep Time: 5 Minutes Cook Time: 12-15 Minutes Serving: 2-3
My 9-year-old loves salmon so much that he only wants salmon, not any other fish. There were times that I try to get a different kind of fish. But he still insists to have salmon instead.
Like many kids, he likes to have his salmon cooked in certain ways. I love to have mine with different flavors every time. So, here is one of my ways of cooking salmon.
TIPS & TRICKS
I use wild caught salmon which is leaner in fat. If you use farm raised, adjust either the quantity of the salmon or topping accordingly.
If you are not on any low carb diet, add a little bit breadcrumb on top
Keto Garlic Parmesan Butter Baked Salmon Recipe and Directions
Ingredients
1-1.5 lb Salmon Filet
Topping
2 tbsp Softened Butter
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes
1-1.5 tbsp Shredded Parmesan Cheese (from the deli aisle, NOT the powder kind)
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
A pinch of salt (go easy on it because of the Parmesan cheese)
1 tsp Bread Crumb (optional and only if you are NOT on any low carb or Keto diet)
Directions
- Preheat oven at 400F.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and pop it into the oven to preheat the pan as well.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine all the topping ingredients together except bread crumb.
- Line the salmon filet on the preheated baking sheet.
- Spread the mixed topping on the fish evenly and sprinkle bread crumb on top.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until desired doneness.
- Rest for 2 minutes and serve immediately.
The butter topping works best on lean wild caught salmon
Combine Softened Butter, Garlic Powder, Dried Parsley Flakes, Shredded Parmesan Cheese, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl
Mix until topping is smooth to spread on salmon
Feel free to add a bit of breadcrumb on top after spreading the topping
My little one likes certain flavor on his salmon. Use 2 aluminum foil to make 2 plates and separate salmon allowing me to cook both at the same time
Both salmon of different flavors cooked and came out of the oven at the same time
Serve with a couple wedges of lemon and ENJOY!
