Tip/IdeaWhy Everything Needs to Be in Bite Size? When you go to a Chinese buffet restaurant, did you question why everything is in bite size? Well, a traditional Chinese meal is always in family style. That means every dish is in the middle of the dining table. Everyone uses their chopsticks to get a bite one at a time from each dish. As a result, a bite size piece is easier to be transferred from one place to another. Imagine it is a big piece of chicken drumstick. Chopsticks may be tough to make that transfer. The meat will fall off, roll around on the table or on the floor. How embarrassing, huh? Next time when you have a Chinese buffet meal with someone else, you can share this.
Fun CultureChinese and Peanut ButterWell, in Hong Kong and other southeast Asian countries, the temperature in summer time is like in Florida without the air-conditioner on. To keep the peanut butter from turning into liquid like melted ice-cream texture, putting the jar in the fridge is a way to go. Although the picture on top of this page was generated by AI, it is not far from the truth. It may be a bit exaggerated on the size of the jar though.
